The Master Chronometer certification from METAS is a comprehensive evaluation that covers the key functional characteristics of watches, including accuracy, resistance to magnetic fields, water resistance, and power reserve. The standards are highly demanding: watches must operate within a daily variation range of five seconds, more precise than the regulations of COSC and TUDOR. Additionally, it ensures accuracy in extreme magnetic conditions and the water resistance declared by the manufacturer, as well as power reserve. To qualify for certification, the Swiss manufacture must meet Swiss Made standards, and the movement must be certified by COSC.

It stands out for its solar laser design and the Master Chronometer certification, featuring a monobloc tungsten rotor and radial laser finishing details. In addition to its robust construction to ensure precision and durability, it is certified as a chronometer by COSC and is antimagnetic, resisting magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss. In the Black Bay 58 GMT, the case retains the original dimensions of 39 mm in diameter with a slimmer profile than the 41 mm Black Bay GMT model. The bidirectional rotating bezel offers a solid grip sensation, with subtly curved numbers aligning with the outer edge. In addition to the case and bezel proportions, aesthetic details include a "pencil" style second hand, reminiscent of the brand's early diving watches. The black dial features a smooth satin finish with a subtle sunburst effect, producing a discreet shine under direct light. Ergonomics have also been enhanced, with a redesigned crown reminiscent of the curves of TUDOR's historical technical watch crowns, placed at the level of the case band to discreetly conceal its tube.

The 3-link riveted bracelet of the Black Bay 58 GMT is inspired by TUDOR's 1950s and 1960s designs, with visible rivet heads and a characteristic stepped design. The current version combines modern manufacturing methods with solid links and laser-finished rivet heads. Additionally, it features TUDOR's T-fit clasp, a quick adjustment system that allows precise and instant bracelet length adaptation up to 8 mm, without the need for tools. This clasp incorporates ceramic ball bearings for smooth and secure closure.
