In the early 1960s, Le Mans winner Carrol Shelby designed a car that combined British design with American racing engineering.

He created the Shelby Cobra, a sports car that ingeniously combined a small, lightweight chassis with a powerful and reliable big-block engine.

When it was first released in 1962, the Cobra enjoyed immediate success and became the only American sports car to win the FIA World Manufacturers' Championship European race series.

The original Shelby Cobra is still a very fast and highly prized collector's car today.

The 1960s was a decade marked by experimentation, fun, freedom and energy. Whether travelling by motorbike or accelerating a sports car, living at full speed was the order of the day.

Willy Breitling sensed this change of pace and designed an unconventional chronograph that embodied the momentum of the times. He called it "Top Time".

That spirited tradition continues to this day, as Breitling partners with some of the coolest names in motorsport to create its Top Time designs.

The Top Time B01 Ford Cobra features the colours and emblem of the classic car that shares its name, as well as a perforated leather racing strap, a tachymeter scale for measuring speed and contrasting "square circle" (neither square nor round) subdials that mimic vintage dashboard gauges.

It also comes with an engine under the bonnet worth bragging about: the exceptional Breitling-manufactured Calibre 01, a self-winding mechanical movement with a power reserve of approx. 70 hours.
