The 1960s was a decade marked by experimentation, fun, freedom and energy. Whether it was riding a motorbike or revving a sports car, living at full speed was the order of the day.

Willy Breitling sensed this change of pace and designed an unconventional chronograph that embodied the impetus of the times. He called it "Top Time".

That spirited tradition continues to this day, as Breitling partners with some of the coolest names in motor racing to create its Top Time designs.

The Ford Thunderbird was unveiled in 1954 at the Detroit Auto Show. It was promoted as a fun, easy-to-drive convertible that attracted attention with its luxurious design, solid construction and pronounced fin.

The Top Time B01 Ford Thunderbird watch features the colours and emblem of the classic car that shares its name, as well as a perforated leather racing strap, a tachymeter scale for measuring speed and contrasting "squared circle" (neither square nor round) subdials that mimic vintage dashboard gauges.

It also comes with an engine under the bonnet worth bragging about: the exceptional Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01 01 with a power reserve of approx. 70 hours.
