When OMEGA launched the Planet Ocean line in 2005, it did so with the brand's marine heritage in mind.
Today, the elegant OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer pays homage to OMEGA's tradition of diving watches. This model, with its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, features a blue ceramic dial with Arabic numerals and date at 3 o'clock.
The unidirectional blue ceramic bezel with an OMEGA Liquidmetal® immersion scale is mounted on a 43.5 mm stainless steel case.
The screw-down honeycomb caseback and blue leather strap with rubber lining.
The OMEGA Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer is water-resistant to 600 metres and has a helium escape valve. It incorporates the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8900, visible through the transparent caseback.
To achieve Master Chronometer status, it has passed the 8 rigorous tests set by METAS (Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).
MOVEMENT: Calibre: Omega 8900. Automatic movement with Co-Axial Escapement. Certified Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, resistant to magnetic fields up to 15 000 gauss. Free sprung balance with silicon balance-spring, two barrels mounted in series, automatic winding in both directions.
Time zone function. Special luxury finish with rhodium-plated rotor and bridges and arabesque Côtes de Genève.
CRYSTAL: Sapphire crystal, convex, scratch-resistant and with anti-reflective treatment on both sides.
WATCH CASE AND DIAL: Case: Steel. Case diameter: 43.5 mm. Dial colour: Blue.
WATERPROOF: 60 bar (600 metres / 2000 feet).
