The Pelagos FXD platform, initially developed with a specialized unit of the French Navy, has now been expanded to meet the needs of the French Naval Aviation, with the addition of a feature that allows aviators and flight support personnel to know what is called "Zulu time," in addition to local time and a third time zone.
Aéronautique Navale (French Naval Aviation)
Since the 1950s, TUDOR has officially supplied the Marine Nationale (French National Navy) with reliable diving watches. The first Pelagos FXD model, where "FXD" refers to the ultra-robust fixed strap bars (FiXeD in English) on the watch case, was introduced in 2021, continuing TUDOR's legacy with the French National Navy.
After years of field use, the Pelagos FXD platform has a proven service record. In 2024, the FXD family is expanding to meet the needs of the Aéronautique Navale (French Naval Aviation).
Three Time Zones in One
The Pelagos FXD GMT can display up to three time zones simultaneously: Zulu time, the military name for Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and the standard reference time for all aviators; making it a valuable tool for carrying out crucial missions. "Zulu" is the phonetic alphabet code word used in aviation for "Z" or the first letter of the word "zero."
Designed with the Manufacture Caliber MT5652-U (COSC and METAS Certified), an automatic mechanical movement with a bidirectional rotor and integrated GMT function.
