Longines has always linked its name with the world of sport. It is therefore only natural that it should put its expertise at the service of diving.
It all began in 1937, when water-resistance became a quality criterion. At that time, Longines developed a case with water-resistant pushers for its legendary 13ZN calibre, and made sure to patent the design.
The winged hourglass brand then signed several developments which led to the presentation of its first civilian diver's watch in 1958 and, during the 1960s, several other models of this type.
