Performance and style for all your water activities. In the 1960s, diving became fashionable; it was a new sport. For divers, timing was everything, and Breitling set out to offer them the clearest possible diver's watch, eliminating any features that were not life-saving underwater. This simplified watch was given the name "Slow Motion".

It retained the clean lines, the chunky luminescent indexes, the square hands and the high-contrast dial ring, all geared towards maximum legibility. Practical, yes, but what everyone really loved about it was the way it looked.

The new Superocean revisits the famous Slow Motion design codes, while adding modern elements such as a ceramic-inlaid bezel and brightly coloured dials. Its large hands and indexes in luminescent Super-LumiNova® make it easy to read underwater. The watch is water-resistant to 300 m (1000 ft), and is resistant to shock, sand and salt water.

The bronze version uses a special alloy that offers excellent corrosion resistance, but over time develops a subtle patina that makes the watch even more unique.

The two strap options (rubber and metal bracelet) feature a butterfly clasp that allows for micro-adjustments of up to 15mm for ease of use over waterproof clothing and wetsuits. Its scratch-proof ceramic inlaid bezel will never wear or discolour.

For added security, the bezel is unidirectional on most sizes and bidirectional with a patented lock on the 46mm model. Best of all, it's no longer strictly a dive watch: you can surf, swim, go to the beach bar and then wear it to dinner.
